RADCO’s Founder and CEO, Norman Radow, was born and raised in public housing in Brooklyn, New York. His harrowing experiences as a young boy showed him firsthand how property management can have a profound effect on the quality of life for not only residents, but also for the greater community. This lesson remained top of mind as Norman founded The RADCO Companies, a real estate investment firm, in 1994.
In 2011, The RADCO Companies identified a growing and dramatic demographic shift that would drastically affect how people lived and what they could afford. As a result, RADCO began buying, renovating, and repositioning value-added multifamily communities under its vertically integrated platform. RADCO served as the owner and investment manager of these communities, but relied on third-party property management companies to oversee daily operations and resident relations.
Norman and other RADCO principals knew what kind of service they wanted to provide to their residents, and they grew increasingly frustrated with third-party property managers who were not devoted to adding value or creating opportunities for employees on the front lines of the business. Therefore, in 2015, The RADCO Companies launched its own management company, and RADCO Residential was born.
RADCO Residential is predicated on the idea of “Building Better Living.” This in-house property management company caters to both its residents and employees, and provides a high-quality living experience for a value that working-class people can afford.
